The Koll procurement division evolved as a consequence of the extensive experience and knowledge gained by key personal of the Thai and South East Asian markets. We have also developed sophisticated negotiation skills and acquired a thorough understanding of regional business practices. This has given us the opportunity to source materials, products and services at competitive rates.
The partnership with Alpha Vietnam has added an exciting new dimension to our range of procurement abilities. The group’s collective business contacts and business acumen has not only enhanced our supply side capabilities with cost effective solutions, but also given us the ability to supply multinational companies with a regional outlook.
Koll’s clients have included American banking companies Citibank and Bank of America. We provided a comprehensive ‘conceirge’ service to the former, which involved supplying a total office needs package and products as varied as hire cars and paper for the latter.
The group has sourced and supplied office equipment in Vietnam and other Asian countries specializing in carpets, chairs and office furniture. The group has obtained exclusive agent agreements with leading manufacturers in the Asean Trade Agreement area. The success of these relationships has encouraged the group to expand its activities into several Asian markets creating a regional network.
An important step forward has been the development of our business relationship with Tesco Lotus. We undertook a comprehensive analysis of the transport requirements of the group in Thailand and replaced the entire car fleet. The project involved Thai vehicle leasing companies, international banks and the major motorcar manufacturing companies in the region. After extensive negotiations Koll was able to achieve significant cost savings while enhancing the quality of the fleet. As with other Koll services our fee structure is based on the savings obtained for the client, thus ensuring no conflict of interest and the best possible result for the client.
